I’m Mike Puccini, a licensed mortgage broker in both Ontario (born and raised) and Nova Scotia (my new home).
A Dalhousie University graduate (B.A. in economics and math), I have 15 years of experience as a mortgage broker and more than 25 years of experience in the financial world in Toronto and Halifax.
Let me share my story with you. I owned a house in Burlington Ontario, but in 2002 moved to Nova Scotia for work, realizing the opportunities that awaited in the Nova Scotian real estate market. I bought a house on the ocean on the eastern shore and a cottage on a lake. Then I sought out the vibrant, urban lifestyle of downtown Halifax, which I still love. I believed in NS back then and I’m still looking forward to seeing NS reach its full potential. I worked as an assistant branch manager of an investment firm, a financial planner and a bond trader before entering the mortgage brokerage business. I’ve also taken a fair bit of mortgages in my life. When taking mortgages upon myself I saw a gap that needed to be addressed in that field. I believed that residential and commercial mortgages should focus on the strategy of building wealth, not just on finding the cheapest mortgage rate possible (which is always great). So, I started my own business and have never looked back ever since!
